APAR status

Error description

  • When Oracle is the database, the Process Federation Server
    unexpectedly stops indexing Business Process Execution Language
    (BPEL) instances and tasks. An exception similar to the
    following exception is written to the SystemOut.log file:

Local fix

Problem summary

  • A database query on Oracle may includes a list of values (a
    WHERE...IN (<list of values>), but the list must not be more
    than 1000 items.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.6.0 that ensures that the
    database query is structured so that the ORA-01795 exception
    cannot occur.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR54658.
    
     1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
     2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54658, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
