APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Event manager used integers for storing task IDs, which caused
  a numeric overflow exception when task IDs were larger than
  what an integer can store. APAR JR49172 fixed this issue,
  however this fix can cause incomplete event manager tasks in
  very rare situations.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The code to read event manager tasks and their keywords relies
  on SQL SELECT statements producing sorted result sets, although
  the SELECT statement does not contain an ORDER BY clause. The
  result set is usually sorted, however, in very rare situations
  the result set is not sorted. In these situations, if the event
  manager task is to be rescheduled, the new event manager task
  does not contain all the keywords of the original event manager
  task. Canceling this new event manager task might cause several
  event manager tasks to be canceled too.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.3 and IBM BPM V8.5.5.0
  that correctly reads the event manager tasks with all their
  keywords.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR54192:
  
  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54192, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
