Error description

• When using process inspector to set task variable data, certain
  symbols do not get escaped properly when making the REST call.
  (ie.  ; / ? : & = + $ , #)  This causes the symbol to be lost
  when setting the values.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY
  When attempting to modify task variables with values which
  include the following characters
  (; / ? : & = + $ , #) , the task variables are not saved
  properly.  These characters are not escaped properly and the
  variables are not persisted as the input values.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is available for IBM BPM v8.5.0.1.  It will allow the
  characters mentioned above to be persisted properly.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR54037
  
  1.Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
  product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level,
  and your platform, and then click Continue.
  2.Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54037, and click Continue.
  3.
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
