Error description
Interim fix JR52979 (http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1JR52979) is intended to improve how fast the Team Performance dashboard loads when there are many teams and process application snapshots. With the interim fix installed on IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V8.5.0.1 with IBM DB2 as the database; however, performance might still be slow the first time the dashboard loads after the IBM BPM server is started or restarted. Problem summary
Interim fix JR52979 does not contain the correct version of the database query definition file for DB2 (the version of the file for DB2 on z/OS was incorrectly included in the location where the DB2 version of the file should be located). As a result, if you run the BPMConfig command after installing the interim fix, the IBM BPM profile is not properly updated based on a DB2 database with the query definition (find-project-id-where-participant-group-defined) that was added in interim fix JR52979. A more inefficient team lookup method is used; however, it is slower in an IBM BPM environment that has a large number of teams and process application snapshots. The first time anyone loads the Team Performance dashboard without using the database query to look up the team information, it loads slowly. Subsequent loads of the Team Performance dashboard are faster because the results of the team lookups are still stored in the team information cache that was also added in interim fix JR52979.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 that includes the correct DB2 version of the database query definition file, correcting the issue. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR53731. (Interim fix JR52979 is superseded by interim fix JR53731.) 1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53731, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
