Error description

  • Failed event manager database queries return insufficient
results if you configured your database to use a comma as a
separator instead of a decimal point (.).

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When the IBM BPM database is configured to use a comma (,)
instead of a decimal point (.) as a separator, some failed event
manager database queries don't work. As a result, incorrect or
incomplete data might be returned from those queries. The APAR
inserts additional white space characters into coded SQL queries
so that comma-separated integers cannot be mistaken for a
decimal number. This approach follows a recommendation given in
the IBM DB2 for z/OS documentation: Decimal point representation
    (www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEPEK_10.0.0/com.ibm.db2z1
    0.doc.sqlref/src/tpc/db2z_decimalpointrepresentation.dita).

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that changes the failed
event manager queries to run correctly on databases that use
separators other than the decimal point.
