Error description

  • When you use IBM Process Designer to add a Note element to a
business process definition (BPD) and the note overlays an
activity, the Process Diagram viewer, which runs from the Work
or the Team Performance page, incorrectly overlays the note on
top of the activity, hiding the activity.

Problem summary


    

  • When you create or update a diagram, if a note is added after an
activity the note can be positioned on top of an activity,
hiding all or part of the activity when the activity is
displayed in a Process Portal Diagram view.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A fix for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 is available that positions the note
behind the activity prior to displaying the diagram.

On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
for JR53494:

1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53494, and click Continue.

When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
additional installation instructions and information about the
fix.
