APAR status

Error description

  • In IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V8.5.6, the Document List
coach view is not shown correctly in Internet Explorer 9, 10, or
 11 when the coach view is configured to display documents
associated with a process instance, regardless of compatibility
mode settings.

Local fix

  • Use another browser, such as Chrome.

Problem summary

  • When "Associate with Process Instance" is selected, the Document
 List coach view uses a function that is available in in Chrome
and Firefox but not in Internet Explorer 9, 10, or 11. Because
those versions of Internet Explorer do not recognize the
function, the Document List coach view does not display
correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.6.0 that replaces the
function with a global function that is available in all
browsers for the Document List coach view.

On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
for JR53330:

    1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53330, and click Continue.

A fix is also available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0. To obtain, follow
the instruction above, substituting the version with 8.5.5.0.
