Error description

  • If you use IBM Process Portal with Internet Explorer, when you
    clear the Search field by selecting the text and pressing Ctrl+X
    and then enter new text into the field, the text does not
    appear.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Pressing Ctrl+X sets the foreground color HTML attribute for the
    text in the field to white, which matches the background color,
    resulting in the newly entered text appearing to be invisible.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix for IBM BPM V8.0.1.2 is available that properly sets the
    foreground color HTML attribute of the Search field to its
    original value (after the field is cleared), resulting in the
    newly entered text being visible.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR53202:
    
      1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
      2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53202, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
