Error description

  • After you apply interim fix JR48172 and try to synchronize users
    by using the Process Admin Console, you receive the following
    exception:
    
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:

Problem summary

  • With JR52436, the signature of method
    SecurityDelegate.syncUsers() was changed by adding a return
    value to that method. Unfortunately, not all callers of this
    method were packaged with JR52436. The missing callers still
    expect that method SecurityDelegate.syncUsers() has no return
    value.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 that contains the
    missing callers of SecurityDelegate.syncUsers().
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR53131:
    
    1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
      the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
      level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53131, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
