JR53088: WHEN YOU HOVER OVER THE INSTANCE DUE DATE IN THE DETAILS TAB, THE DUE DATE IN THE TOOLTIP IS INCORRECT

Error description

  • In Process Portal, when you hover over the instance due date in
    the Details tab in the right pane a tooltip might be displayed
    showing an incorrect due date. This occurs if you modify the
    instance due date (using Modify Instance) from the previous
    day's date, the current date, or the next day's date to a date
    that is outside that range, and then hover over the instance due
    date; the date displayed in the tooltip is the due date before
    you changed it. The tooltip should be displayed only if the
    instance due date is the previous day's date, the current date,
    or the next day's date (to display the actual due date
    corresponding to the displayed instance due date value in the
    Details tab, which would be "Yesterday", "Today", or "Tomorrow"
    instead of an absolute date).

Local fix

  • Refresh the browser to force the tooltip to be suppressed for
    the instance due date in the Details tab.
    

Problem summary

  • When you change the instance due date from the previous day's
    date, the current date, or the next day's date to a date outside
    of that range, the tooltip text for the field is not cleared,
    resulting in the tooltip incorrectly being displayed (and, with
    the due date before you changed it) when you hover over the new
    due date.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix for IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 is available that clears the tooltip
    text when you change the instance due date from the previous
    day's date, the current date, or the next day's date to a date
    outside of that range, resulting in no tooltip being displayed
    when you hover over the new due date.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR53088:
    
      1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
      2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53088, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
