Error description

  • When loading an SEO URL via dataload with
    CatalogEntrySEOMediator, if the URL Keyword column contains
    product names with invalid characters (eg._, ?, = etc), an error
     is thrown instead of replacing invalid characters with dash
    ("-") and generate the SEO URL.

    SEO URL cannot be generated via dataload and might affect site
    and shopper experience
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • Added a flag called fixSEO (default is false). If it is set to
    true, data loader will fix the SEO URL keyword, replacing
    invalid characters with dashes, instead of throwing exception.
