WebSphere Commerce V7 customers with large catalogs and using
the embedded Solr search

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Performance enhancement to pre-process the catalog hierarchy
data for indexing.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Search pre-processing takes much longer than it should, leading
to delays in propagating data to the production site.

RECOMMENDATION:

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A new pre-processor CatalogPathDataPreProcessor is created to
replace CatalogHierarchyDataPreProcessor to improve performance
in most commmon scenarios.
