Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users who use SAP stages
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
After installing the REST Rollup, or installing the SAP PACK, it
is possible that stages from the SAP Packs hang when opening, or
the SAP Connection or BAPI properties are missing, leading to
incorrect compiled jobs which have empty or missing
    BAPIINTERFACE properties.
    ****************************************************************
    RECOMMENDATION:
Install patch JR52514. Reinstall SAP Pack if necessary, see
    Problem Conclusion for details.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed CRLF / LF processing in the REST interfaces.

While this patch is required to ensure this issue does not
occur, it is also needed to prevent corruption of the SAP
StageTypes when they are first copied to DataStage Server
    Projects.

This can occur if the SAP PACK is installed, and the first
Designer connection from a non-patched DataStage client
refreshes the StageTypes from Xmeta. In this case it will be
necessary to install the patch or fix pack, and re-install the
SAP PACK (first uninstall, then install again) using the version
    specific installation instructions.

The CRLF / LF processing in the REST interfaces has been
problematic, this will be the latest change to resolve all the
    issues in this area.

    NOTE:
It is possible that the BAPIINTERFACE properties cannot be
processed correctly after installation of the patch on 9.1
systems. This depends on whether changes were made before or
after the 9.1 REST Rollup was installed in a previous
installation. In this case it will be necessary to export the
jobs to DSX and fix the parameters manually before re-importing.
This task should be undertaken by the DataStage Core or SAP
    support teams.
