JR52289: IBM PROCESS DESIGNER DOES NOT CONNECT TO IBM PROCESS CENTER

Error description

  • When you start Process Designer and try to connect to Process
    Center, you see the following error in the Process Designer
    client >install directory>\.metadata\.log file:

Local fix

Problem summary

  • This error might occur if Process Designer is installed in a
    system with proxy configured, but Process Designer is not set up
    to handle proxy authentication.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM 8.5.5.0 so that Process Designer
    detects this error situation and tries to reestablish a
    connection to Process Center directly.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR52289:
    
        1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
    from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
        2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR52289, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
