APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using a Document List coach view in a toolkit triggers a request
    like

     /portal/jsp/callService.do?serviceRef=1.1f60baf5-c9af-4be7-a3e3
    -89c49265d9ad&snapshotId=2064.580474e9-dc3f-4855-bd54-2253f73f9b
    42

However, this callService.do request uses the toolkit snapshot
(also known as the context), instead of the process app context.

Problem summary

  • While you invoke a service, the Document List coach view uses
the context of the process app or toolkit where it is located.
However, when the Document List is in a toolkit because the
snapshot of the running process app is not used for the service
call, a request similar to the following request is triggered:

     /portal/jsp/callService.do?serviceRef=1.1f60baf5-c9af-4be7-a3e3
    -89c49265d9ad&snapshotId=2064.580474e9-dc3f-4855-bd54-2253f73f9b
    42

Updates in the Process Admin Console to the environment
variables that define the target server are not found and return
    to the default settings.

    IBM BPM Express

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.2 and 8.5.5.0 that uses
the context of the running process app instead of the context of
the coach view's location, which returns the right value for the
    environment variables.
