Error description
When another property for a user's full name (user fullname) is defined by using the configuration flag that was introduced with interim fix JR48484, interim fix JR50633 is installed (or JR49168 with V8.5.0.1 and later release), and the environment is a network deployment environment, the user fullname for internal user names appears as a blank value in the upper-right corner of IBM Process Portal and the Process Admin Console.
Local fix
Problem summary
The blank user fullname value occurs for internal users as a result of configuring interim fixes JR48484 and JR50633 together for network deployment environments. The issue arises as a result of the following contingencies: By default, IBM BPM uses the 'cn' user attribute that is stored in the WebSphere user registry to retrieve a user's full name. With JR48484 installed, when you use federated repositories, you can configure the user property to be different from 'cn' by using a corresponding setting in the 100Custom.xml file. In a network deployment environment, IBM BPM internal users are stored in the file registry, which is associated with federated repositories. Users who are stored in the file registry expose a limited set of properties including 'uid','cn','sn' and 'mail'. As a result, when you configure the property to retrieve the full name and do not set it to one of the properties that are used in the file registry, no full name can be retrieved for users who are stored in the file registry. You notice this issue especially after you install interim fix JR50633, which enforces updating the full name for a user logging in. If this user is stored in the file registry, his or her full name is deleted from the IBM BPM database.
Problem conclusion
A fix is/will be available for IBM BPM that ensures that, whenever a property is configured for retrieving the user full name that is not exposed in the file registry, the property 'cn' is used as source for the full name of the users who are stored in the file registry. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR51469 1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR51469, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
