JR51403: Cannot successfully read or write to/from a category's SEO prope rties custom field in Management Center.

APAR status

Error description

• In these scenarios when the customer has added customization to
  read and write to SEOPAGEDEFDESC from CMC (WebSphere Commerce
  Management Center), here's what happens:
  
  When reading the fields:
  1) These fields have been directly updated in the database:
  field2, field3 with some string values.
  2) An attempt is made to view the fields in CMC. field2 can be
  read successfully but not field3. There are no errors in the
  SystemOut.log.
  
  When saving these fields in CMC:
  1) After saving field2 and field3 in CMC, nothing happens. With
  foundation tracing enabled, the following lines are seen (with
  an Oracle database) in the trace.log:

Local fix

• Directly update SEOPAGEDEFDESC table.
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce users that are trying to customize category
  object SEO properties in Management Center to update or read
  from SEOPAGEDEFDESC custom fields.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  Cannot successfully read or write to/from a category's SEO
  properties custom field in Management Center.
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Business users need to ask database administrators to update
  SEOPAGEDEFDESC directly or perform a dataload.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified the create and update SEOPAGEDEFDESC methods in
  InsertMoreCatalogGroupSEODataCmdImpl and SEOServiceHelper class
  files to fix some typos in the methods.
