APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • With customized storefront to use Sync Inventory to validate
inventory availability, when adding items to the cart custom
code sends inventory availability requests of the orderitems to
OOB custom inventory backend, as this OOB command uses admin
access profile it runs into following exception:

 [7/25/14 11:58:55:983 BST] 00000064 BusinessObjec E   You are
not authorized to execute IBM_Admin_Summary.
com.ibm.commerce.foundation.internal.server.services.authorizati
on.AuthorizationException: You are not authorized to execute
IBM_Admin_Summary.

Local fix

  • WC/xml/config/com.ibm.commerce.inventory-fep

 Update wc-component.xml with following:

 <_config:configgrouping name="SyncInventoryAvailability">
 <_config:property name="accessprofile_getCatentryByPartNumber"
 value="IBM_Store_CatalogEntryAttributes" />

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
 Users with APAR JR45188 installed.

 PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
 Incorrect access profile for check external inventory

 BUSINESS IMPACT:
 Note able to SyncInventoryAvailability for inventory
availability check when adding item to the cart. Storefront
users are affected.

 RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • OOB ResolveIdHelper was modified. A new method
"getCatentryIdsByPartNumbersForStore" is provided, which by
default uses access profile "IBM_Store_CatalogEntryAttributes",
so by calling this method, customer won't have access control
issue.
