In IBM BPM design, an inbound web service will execute a
service as the implementation of the web service method. If
there is any exception when running the service, there will
be an exception thrown to the inbound web service framework.
Without this ifix, the exception is caught by the web service
framework and an empty response is sent to the caller. The
HTTP status code 200 is returned.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM Business Process Manager V8.0.1.2
to update related functions so that a SOAP fault will be
returned if there are any exceptions in the service
implementation. The SOAP fault will contain the content of the
    exception.
