APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A new e-Marketing Spot is created in Management Center and
  default content is assigned to the e-Marketing Spot. When
  viewing the e-Marketing Spot in the store page on the authoring
  environment (not in store preview), the default content does not
   appear when store page JSP caching is enabled.
  

Local fix

• Clear the dynacache base cache after creating the e-Marketing
  Spot.
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who have store page JSP caching
  in the authoring environment.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  e-Marketing Spot recommendations do not appear on the storefront
  for newly created e-Marketing Spots

  Business users cannot test e-Marketing Spot changes.

Problem conclusion

• Added support of invalidation policies in the cachespec to
  invalidate base cache JSP pages when a new e-Marketing Spot is
  created. See the APAR Additional Installation instructions for
  the entries that need to be added to the store cachespec.xml
  file.
