JR50721: BPMSNAPSHOTCLEANUP PROCEEDS EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE RUNNING INSTANCES OF STAND-ALONE HUMAN SERVICES

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you run The BPMSnapshotCleanup command, orphaned stand-alone
tasks remain in the IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) database.
It appears as if entries in the LSW_TASK table remain, although
they belong to a deleted snapshot and you expect all tasks to be
deleted with the corresponding snapshot. Stand-alone tasks are
created if an exposed human service is started by using the REST
    API bpm/wle/v1/service/{instanceId}.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is/will be available for IBM BPM that improves the
function of the BPMSnapshotCleanup command so that any
stand-alone task that refers to the snapshot that should be
deleted is also deleted and no orphaned entries remain in the
    database.
