JR50584: The Rapid Generator plugin in InfoSphere Data Architect cannot establish a secure HTTPS connection to Information Server

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Since it's unable to use HTTPS connections, the Rapid Generator
  plugin in InfoSphere Data Architect cannot establish a
  connection to Information Server 11 (HTTPS is the only protocol
  supported in Information Server 11)
  The error message is:
  com.ibm.is.sappack.gen.common.JobGeneratorException: Connection
  error '404 '(Please check JobGenerator App is running).
  With Information Server 9.1, there is no error but the plugin
  always uses regular HTTP.

Problem conclusion

• Implemented support for HTTPS connection and disabled regular
  HTTP connectivity, making HTTPS the only option for IIS server
  connections.
  Note: The patch consists of two parts: a Service tier patch and
  a Client tier patch for the IDA plugins
