Error description

• When running dataload with IdResolverCache size greater than 0,
  the process may show an error similar to the following:
  
   A problem occurred while the data writer
  {com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataload.datawriter.JDBCDataWriter@
  200020}was processing the table data object.
   Exception message:
   An integrity constraint (foreign key, primary key or unique
  key) has been violated. The error was: ORA-00001: unique
  constraint (ESTORE.I0000056) violated
   .
   Stack trace:

  tion: An integrity constraint (foreign key, primary key or
  unique key) has been violated. The error was: ORA-00001: unique

   If the unique index column is a decimal column, it will not be
  handled properly by the ID resolver cache. For an Oracle
  database, when the column value is selected from the database,
  the returned value is not formatted properly. For other
  databases, the JDBC driver formats the data properly.
  

Local fix

• Run dataload with  IdResolverCache=0
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
   All WebSphere Commerce users with Oracle database using
  dataload utility when loading data to a table with decimal
  column in the unique index.
  
   PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
   The ID resolver cache does not handle the decimal type
  properly, when using Oracle databases.
  
   BUSINESS IMPACT:
   Not able run dataload with IDResolverCache size greater then
  zero, which impacts performance.
  
   RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• Code is modified to always reformat the decimal column value for
   the ID resolver cache.
