Error description
Some heritage coaches that contain drop-down menus that have special characters, such as ampersands (&), are not encoding properly. For example, ampersands are encoded as &&.
Local fix
Problem summary
There are two filters that encode user input when it is retrieved from heritage coaches and stored in human service variables. There is some overlap so that for some user interface elements, such as drop-down menus, values are encoded in both places, which results in double encoded values.
Problem conclusion
A fix is/will be available for IBM BPM that ensures exactly once encoding of user input that is retrieved in heritage coaches. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR50405: 1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR50405, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
