Error description

  • Several currentItem binding-related issues can occur in a Coach
    when a Coach View binds to a currentItem of a variable of List.
    The symptoms can occur under various conditions when currentItem
    is bound to Coach View. For example:
    
    -- nested coach views that bind to currentItem might not sync up
    their states correctly even though they bind to the same boolean
    type option binding inside a   repeating section.
    
    -- binding for a Coach View that binds to a currentItem inside a
    repeating section is not updated after deletion of an item in a
    List.
    
    -- a stale currentItem binding can exist when a binding variable
    (List of BO type) gets replaced. As a result, calling
    this.context.binding.get("value") could return the value that
    existed prior to the replacement value.
    
    -- some Coach Views might not get the currentItem binding value
    (property in a complex BO type) in repeating sections correctly
    after the items are added to the List. This can be accompanied
    by a JavaScript error "TypeError: previousNode is null" in the
    browser console.
    
    -- A Coach View (which binds to currentItem) and binding data
    might get out of sync after a binding variable (List type) has
    multiple add item, delete item, and complete replacement
    operations.

Problem summary

  • Several currentItem binding related issues can occur in a Coach
    when the Coach View binds to currentItem of a variable of List .
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 that will correctly
    resolve a  currentItem for binding Coach View.
    
    The fix for V8.5.0.1 has been included as part of
    cumulative fix JR50541. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/suppo
    rt/fixcentral), search for JR50541:
    
    1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR50541, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix.
    Review each readme file for additional installation instructions
    and information about the fix.
