JR50311: Data Load of organization data fails when special characters are included in the organization name

APAR status

Error description

• When loading organization data using the Data Load utility, by
  default it does not allow the following characters in the
  organization name:
    , + "  < > ;
  
   If there are any organization names to be loaded with a special
  character in the OrganizationName, the Data Load utility fails
  with an
   exception message similar to the following:
  
   com.ibm.commerce.member.dataload.exception.MemberDataLoadApplic
  ationException: The value Dataload delivery, mode test of the
  ORGENTITYNAME field is invalid.
   Application message: A problem occurred while the business
  object builder
  com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataload.businessobjectbuilder.BaseB
  usinessObjectBuilder was processing the populated data object.
  The data object was:

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
   WebSphere Commerce v7.0 administrators loading customer data
  into the database using dataload utility.
  
   PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
   Data Load of organization data fails when special characters
  are included in the organization name
  
   BUSINESS IMPACT:
   Dataload fails to load organization data containing special
  characters for the organization name
  
   RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• The OrganizationMediator is updated to provide an option
  property to turn off the invalidation checking for the
  organization name if LDAP is not used.
  
   <_config:property name="validateOrgName" value="false" />
  
   If this property is not specified, the default value is true.
  That is, the mediator will still validate the organization name
  and will throw an exception if there are any invalid characters
  in the organization name.
