Local fix

  • Instead of using new String(tw.epv.EPV.B) to retrieve a value
    from an EPV variable, use new String(tw.epv.EPV.B.valueAt(new
    TWDate()))

Problem summary

  • The EPV value is retrieved with a reference date that is null,
    which results in the NullPointerException error.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V7.5.1.2 that uses the current
    server time when reference date is null.

Temporary fix

  • Instead of using new String(tw.epv.EPV.B) to retrieve a value
    from an EPV variable, use new String(tw.epv.EPV.B.valueAt(new
    TWDate()))
