Error description

  • The error occurs in situations where you create multiple
    decisions services,
    as in the following steps:
    1. Create two decision services "d1" and "d2". Specify two
    outputs for each, "d1_yes", "d1_no", "d2_yes", and "d2_no",
    respectively.
    2. Create a business process definition (BPD) named "Testing
    Decisions".
    3. Add two decision gateways to the BPD, "g1" and "g2".
    4. For "g1", select "d1" as the decision service under the
"Decision" property; do the same for "g2" and "d2".
    5. Notice that when using tw.decision, you only see the "d1" or
"d2" output variables available in auto completion, not both.

    PRODUCTS AFFECTED:
IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) Advanced
    IBM BPM Standard
    IBM BPM Express

Local fix

  • A workaround for this is to not directly switch to gateway 2,
but deselect gateway 1 first (by clicking anywhere on the
diagram) and then select gateway 2 (this forces UI widgets to
    reload).

Problem summary

  • The UI does not get updated properly when switching from one
gateway to a second one when both of them have the same number
of outgoing flows. The system thinks it does not need to reload
the widgets (so the JS autocomplete feature shows old
    variables).

A fix will be incorporated into a later release that will make
sure widgets are properly reloaded when switching from one
gateway to any other one. This will properly update JavaScript
    autocompletion.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
