APAR status

Error description

  • A parallel job may fail with large amounts of data being sorted
with an error "The Section Leader on node node1 has terminated
unexpectedly. [processmgr/slprocess.C:256]."  For this issue,
many tsortxxxxxxx files will be observed in the scratch
directory.
           The actual failure mechanism is not predictable.
Sometimes the job fails with the message
" Internal Error: (endOfBuffer_ > currentInputPosition_):
processmgr/msgport.C"
