Error description

  • If a process app or a toolkit depends on a toolkit snapshot and
the toolkit contains a team, that team is returned by the
process app or toolkit call to the tw.system.org.getAllTeams()
JS API. If there is a new toolkit snapshot that does not contain
the team and the process app or toolkit dependency is upgraded
to the new toolkit snapshot, the call to
tw.system.org.getAllTeams() JS API fails with a
NullPointerException that is similar to the following

Local fix

  • In the toolkit, locate the deleted team in a previous snapshot
and right-click Revert. The library item is restored to the
    current version.

Problem summary

  • A tw.system.orrg.getAllTeams() call tries to access the already
deleted team, which results in a java.lang.NullPointerException
because the team was not deleted properly.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM 8.5.0.1 that deletes the team
    properly.
