Error description

• When launching Store Preview from Management Center, the page
  fails to open resulting in an HTTP 404 error. The URL in the
  error message on the page may look similar to the following:
  
   "The requested URL
  /webapp/wcs:8006/webapp/wcs/preview/servlets/servlet/StoreView
  was not found on this server"
  
  
   However the URL in the Store Preview options appears to be
  correct:
  
   Ex.
  http://hostname/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreView?storeId=1015
  1
  
   This may occur if your SEO configuration in the wc-server.xml
  file has been shortened to a substring of the default value, for
  example:
  
       <SEOConfiguration defaultUrl="" dynamicUrl="true"
  enable="true">
           <context-root-rewrite value="/store" />
       </SEOConfiguration>
  
  
   The default context-root-rewrite value is "/webapp/wcs/stores".
  

Local fix

• If possible, use the default context-root-rewrite value instead.

   WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 using Store Preview with a
  shortened context root.
  
   PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
   Launching Store Preview gives 404 when shortened context root
