APAR status

Error description

• A static e-Marketing Spot JSP fragment should be consumed by the
  parent JSP cache entry when the parent page is cached. However,
   if the parent page is also a JSP fragment, and its parent page
  is not cached, then the e-Marketing Spot JSP fragment is not
  being consumed by its parent.
  
   An example of this is an e-Marketing Spot included on the
  Footer JSP page. If the e-Marketing Spot is static, then the
  e-Marketing Spot JSP should be consumed by the Footer JSP. When
  the Footer is included on the Category display page, the
  e-Marketing Spot JSP fragment is consumed by the Footer JSP
  properly (since the Category display page is cached). However,
  when the Footer is included on the Shopping Cart page, the
  e-Marketing Spot JSP fragment is not consumed by the Footer JSP
  properly (since the Shopping Cart page is not cached).

   WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who are trying to cache full
  pages that include e-Marketing Spots
  
   PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
   Static e-Marketing Spot JSP fragment is not consumed by cached

   BUSINESS IMPACT:
   Pages are not being cached correctly, could cause a performance
  impact
  
   RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• The e-Marketing Spot dynamic caching code was corrected so that
  the JSP fragment is properly consumed when its parent page is
  cached.
