Error description

  • When the data loader utility is used for noun format XML file
    data load and the file contains double-byte characters, the
    double-byte text shows up as ???? in the database.

    WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who data load double-byte
    characters.

    Double-byte characters added to database by dataload utility
    show up as ????

    Data shows up as ???, resulting in incorrect values displayed on
     storefront and Management Center.
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • When the XML handler converts the input string to a business
    object, it will now correctly handle the double-byte encoding.
