Local fix

  • The registry can be refreshed again to potentially avoid the
issue. The problem is intermittent, so clearing the registry
    repeatedly could help fixing it.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere Commerce V7 FEP 5 and FEP 6 sites using WebSphere
    Commerce search feature.

    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
After clearing the registry, searches start failing

    BUSINESS IMPACT:
unable to perform searches on storefront intermittently, affects
    individual servers

    RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR corrects a race condition that could cause the
registry to not fully load properly.
