JR48948: UPDATE INSTALLER INCORRECTLY CREATES VOC ENTRY CALLED "LOGIN PA LOGOUT" IN THE TEMPLATE PROJECT

Error description

• Update Installer incorrectly creates VOC entry called "LOGIN PA
  LOGOUT" in the Template project. So when the DataStage
  diagnostic is run, it thinks that DataStage projects are
  supposed to have a VOC entry called "LOGIN PA LOGOUT" and
  reports this as missing.
  

Local fix

• Assuming Information server is installed on /opt/IBM (replace
  for your directory path)
  
  1. source /opt/IBM/InformationServer/Server/DSEngine/dsenv
  
  2. cd /opt/IBM/InformationServer/Server/Template
  
  3. if there is not a VOC file, mv .template VOC
  
  4. /opt/IBM/InformationServer/Server/DSEngine/bin/UVdelete VOC
  'LOGIN PA LOGOUT'
  
  5. mv VOC .template
  
  6. Rerun the diagnostic
  

Problem summary

• This problem is due to a minor bug in the update installer that
  introduces a spurious record with key "LOGIN PA LOGOUT" into the
  VOC file of the Template DataStage project. This extra record
  causes the ISALite DataStage diagnostic test to complain that
  DataStage projects are missing a record called "LOGIN PA
  LOGOUT".
  

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

• Temporary fix is to use DSEngine command line tools to remove
  the "LOGIN PA LOGOUT" record from the Template project's VOC
  file.
