Error description
Reassigning task to a group negates the group id causing it to flip back and forth bw positive and negative values. . The method used by Portal to reassign a task back to its group negates the group id associated with the task. This is initially ok, as the id has to be a negative value after performing the operation. However, a repeated execution negates the value again turning it into a positive value, which is wrong. In the LSW_TASK table, the user_id and group_id columns will both have negative (minus) values. For example, user_id = -1 and group_id = -1234 The internal system user (user_id = -1) re-assigns the task back to groups.
Local fix
Problem summary
Assigning a task back to the task group via the JS API, when done repeatedly, can leave the task group id as a negative number. In such cases, the task cannot be claimed any more. PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION: The task id gets negated when the task gets assigned back. When done twice, the task id gets negated twice, thus leaving the id as a negative number.
Problem conclusion
The assign back operation now checks whether the task group id is negative, before negating it.
