Local fix

Problem summary

  • When editing an existing managed asset, and trying to save it,
the contents will be removed leaving the managed asset unusable
and the content needs to be uploaded again to restore it.

    AFFECTED EDITIONS:
IBM Business Process Manager Advanced, Standard and Express

PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION:Affected users are those editing
existing managed assets. The logic to detect when a managed
asset has been edited, in the form of uploading new content, was
being triggered in the case when new content was not being
uploaded. This caused the previous content to be overwritten
with blank content when it is not the users intention to do so.

    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
To fix this, the logic will be improved to only detect a change
in content when a new file is included for upload, or when the
multiline editor has detected a property change. As a result,
the content will only be updated in the correct scenario.

Fix is planned for delivery in next V8.5 release.
