Error description

  • During profile upgrade from BPM V8.5.0.0 to BPM V8.5.0.1, update
    of BPM application IBM_BPM_WebAPI_<deploy target> was failed
    due to some PolicySet attachment exception.

    * USERS AFFECTED:  IBM BPM users who try to upgrade from IBM   *
    *                  BPM V8.5 to IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 with existing  *
    *                  profiles                                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The IBM_BPM_WebAPI application is not   *
    *                      updated correctly when a profile is     *
    *                      being upgraded from IBM BPM V8.5 to     *
    *                      IBM BPM V8.5.0.1. As a result, the      *
    *                      BPM Web Service API Callback client     *
    *                      policy set entry is lost.               *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a profile is being upgraded from IBM BPM V8.5 to IBM BPM
    V8.5.0.1, the IBM_BPM_WebAPI application is not updated
    correctly. The existing policy set entries should be
    preserved; however, one of the client policy set entries (BPM
    Web Service API Callback) is lost.
    

Problem conclusion

  • You can fix this problem by applying JR48859. For more

    ).
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for both PI05967 and JR48859:
    
    1. Select the product group, product, installed version, and
    platform, and click Continue.
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter PI05987, and click Continue.
    3. Repeat step 1 and step 2 for JR48859.
    
    When downloading fix packages, ensure that you also download the
    readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional
    installation instructions and information about the fix
