Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM BPM Advanced, Standard, and Express * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Process Center artifact-indexing * * function leaves files open. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** By default the Process Center artifact-indexing function checks every 60 seconds whether changes were made to the repository and, if so, updates the Lucene index with the changes. When the Lucene index is changed, a new Lucene index reader must be created so that artifact searches return the most up-to-date results. However, the code that creates the new index reader does not close the previous index reader, resulting in an accumulation of open files.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available that causes the artifact-indexing function to close previous Lucene index readers when updates to the repository are detected. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), select the product group, product, installed version, and platform, click Continue and then select APAR or SPR, enter JR48407, and click Continue. When downloading fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
