JR48117: CMVC 231139 - Multiple shipping addresses are available even when the store setting is for Single Shipping

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• As a registered user with primary (shipping and billing) address
  and at least one additional shipping address
  
  1. Add 1 or more products to the cart
  2. On the second checkout page, change the shipping address from
  primary (shipping and billing) to a different shipping address
  -> address_id of the orderitem gets updated at this point
  3. Continue to browse the catalog and another item to the basket
  -> Primary address is incorrectly used for adding this item
  
  This may be problematic if, for example, the addresses are in
  different tax regions as the tax will be calculated incorrectly
  If you continue to step through the checkout, it shows the
  previously selected shipping address as expected.

Problem conclusion

• Before the shopper get into the Shipping and Billing page, if
  the store only supports single shipment then the system will
  make sure that all the order items in the shopping cart has the
  same shipping address, shipping mode and requested ship date.
