  • When you try to modify the JAX-RPC import binding endpoint
    address by using a script in the administrative console SCA
    module view, you might receive a NullPointerException error in
    the FFDC output error message.

    *                      the endpoint is valid. The custom web   *

    *                      NullPointerException error.             *

    *                      service endpoint goes                   *
    *                      through all the servlets in the         *
    *                      application when it is                  *
    *                      updated. If there is a custom servlet   *
    *                      in the application, the                 *
    *                      process might cause the following       *

    When you update the JAX-RPC import binding endpoint by using a
    script or in the administrative console, you receive a
    NullPointerException error that prevents the modification to
    be finished correctly.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V7.5.1.1 that passes the custom
    web module so that the endpoint can be updated and there is no
    NullPointerException error.

    Select the product group, product, installed version, and
    platform, and click Continue.
    Select APAR or SPR, enter JR48040, and click Continue.
