The Process Portal code then creates a "channel ID" based on the group name (channel used for notifications, in conjunction with the Process Portal notification application), and then builds a URL based on that channel ID. If the group name starts with a ('/') character, the resulting URL would contain a double slash ("//") sequence, and this an invalid URL.
Problem conclusion
The Process Portal code was modified to encode '/' characters in group names during notification channel ID/URL creation to ensure that double slash sequences do not occur, resolving the issue. An interim fix for Business Process Manager Version 8.0.1.1 has been published to Fix Central. Please refer to the separate file that is automatically downloaded with the interim fix for prerequisite information and installation/uninstallation instructions.
