Error description

  • BPMConfig command does not accept hostnames that start with a
    number.
    When such hostnames are used, the following validation error is
    displayed:
    com.ibm.bpm.config.model.ConfigModelFactory.loadFromPropertiesDe
    legate() : CWMCB0250E: The property bpm.dmgr.hostname has an
    invalid value [123Foo.domain.com].
    

Local fix

  • Use manageprofiles command to create profiles on hosts that
    have a hostname starting with a number.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix for IBM BPM V8.5 is available that fixes the validation
    of the host name for the BPMConfig command so that the command
    accepts host names that start with a number.
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR47758. After you select the product group, product,
    installed version, and platform, click Continue and then
    select APAR or SPR, enter JR47758, and click Continue. When
    downloading fix packages, ensure that you also download the
    readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
