Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Business Process Manager Advanced, * * Standard and Express users who need to * * clear out PO cache in their server * * environment regularly and frequently, and * * have complicated heritage coaches which * * takes extensive time to perform the XSLT * * transformation. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: User who needs to clear out PO cache * * in their server environment regularly * * and frequently, and has complicated * * heritage coaches which take extensive * * time to perform the XSLT * * transformation. Existing way to cache * * the XSLT translated Heritage Coach to * * PO cache is not enough for them, as * * it will result in performing this * * XSLT transformation more than once * * between server restart, unless * * absolutely necessary (i.e. deployment * * of a new snapshot). * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The problem is fixed with this APAR. This APAR introduces an option for customer to persist the results of the XSLT transformation to disk by setting 2 environment variables: ENABLE_SERIALIZED_COACH=true SERIALIZED_COACHES_FOLDER=c:\temp\persistedCoaches (or whatever folder you choose) These options are more suitable to a production or staging environment, since within these types of environments the number of coaches will be limited to the number of snapshots of a process application deployed to these servers. Applying this in a development environment could result in a large number of temporary files. Each playback done for a newly changed coach could result in a new cache file. FIX AVAILABILITY: The fix is planned to be available in the future releases of BPM 8.0.1 and 8.5.0.
