APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If this URL contains more than 1 HTTP GET paramter, the
parameter/value pairs are separated by a & sign.
Due to URL escaping, those characters are escaped to &.

When customer uses a coach with the control item "document
attachment" in order to list all attached documents for the
current process instance, the HTML anker href location contains
the escaped version of the URL.
Thus, the URL is broken and users cannot work with the links
    directly

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The '&' character is not properly decoded when the document list
is displayed, which may cause the navigation of the link to
    fail.

    USER AFFECTED:
Business Process Manager Advanced, Standard and Express users
that create BPM documents using URLs.

    PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
If a BPM document is created with a URL containing an '&'
character, the value will be encoded on creation/update.
However, this value is not properly decoded on read, when the
document is loaded. The result will be a URL that will contain
'&' instead. As a result navigating the link may not be
possible. Some sites support encoded '&', and some don't.

Problem conclusion

  • The link is now decoded on read. When the Document Attachment
control renders the document list, both the display value and
the target of the href are both properly decoded.
