Error description

  • When using Process Designer in a multi-display environment
    users may experience inconsistent behavior with popup windows
    or tooltips. Popup windows or tooltips may open in secondary
    monitors even though primary window has focus.
    

Local fix

  • In windows, customer can quickly switch the pop up
    window to the second screen by pressing <Windows button>+Left
    Shift+arrow button.
    

Problem summary

  • Using Process Designer with more then one monitor can result in
    popup windows and tooltips appearing in another display screen
    then expected.
    
    USER AFFECTED:
    Business Process Manager Advanced, Standard, and Express Process
    Designer users.
    
    PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
    When using Process Designer in a multi-display environment users
    may experience inconsistent behavior with popup windows or
    tooltips. Popup windows or tooltips may open in secondary
    monitors even though primary window has focus.
    
    Testing with multiple displays would have discovered this issue.
    
    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
    Fix will ensure dialog pops up in same monitor as user is
    working
    
    FIX AVAILABILITY:
    Fix planned for next cumulative maintenence deliverables for
    8.0.1 and 8.5.
