Error description

  • When creating a custom search profile that is not an extension
of a base search profile, sometimes the field names will not be
substituted into the search expression, resulting in a query on
multiple fields marked as null. This results in a set of errors
coming back from the Solr server regarding the null field.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
Users creating custom search profiles in the
com.ibm.commerce.catalog-ext directory who have encountered this
    error.

    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
When creating custom search profiles in the -ext directory,
sometimes the field names will not be mapped.

    BUSINESS IMPACT:
Some custom search profiles will be unusable, which may slow
    development timelines.

    RECOMMENDATION:
