Error description
Dataload terminates with an error when it encounters a null character in the input data, An exception similar to the following may be seen in the logs: An unexpected error has occurred. The error is An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x0) was found in the element content: . at com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataload.AbstractBusinessObjectLoade r.execute(AbstractBusinessObjectLoader.java:458) at com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataload.DataLoaderMain.execute(Data LoaderMain.java:459) at com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataload.DataLoaderMain.main(DataLoa derMain.java:215) Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x0) was found in the element content: at org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xmi.impl.XMLSaveImpl$Escape.convert(XMLSav eImpl.java:3020) This causes the Dataload operation to stop, even if maxError=0 was specified when running the load.
Local fix
Remove the records that contain null characters from the input file.

Problem conclusion
