APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A marketing content is set up to display a promotion proximity
  message for a promotion that gives a percentage discount for
  orders over a minimum value.  If the shopping cart total before
  the discount is applied exceeds the minimum value, but the
  shopping
   cart total after the discount is applied is below the minimum
  value, the promotion proximity message is still displayed. The
  message should not be displayed as the order has already
  qualified for the promotion.

   The promotion proximity message continues to display after the
  promotion is applied to the shopping cart
  
   BUSINESS IMPACT:
   Promotion proximity message is displayed even after the
  promotion has been applied.
  
   RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• The promotion proximity message logic has been modified to
  consider when the promotion related to the message can affect
  the cart total. If the promotion has been applied to the order,
  the message will not be displayed.
  
   ADDITIONAL STEPS REQUIRED AFTER APAR INSTALLATION:
  
   After you install the APAR, you need to modify the Content
  CartValueThreshold tag.
  
   Currently, the syntax of the tag is like:
  [CartValueThreshold:200 USD,MinimumCartValue:50]
  
   For any content messages that are associated to a promotion
  that can modify the cart value (% off order, $ off order), then
  an additional parameter should be included to prevent the
  message from displaying when the promotion is already applied to
  the shop
  ping cart.  (It is not necessary to include PromotionId or
  PromotionName when the promotion is a free gift or a shipping
  discount).
  
   Specify either PromotionId or PromotionName
   New syntax:
   [CartValueThreshold:CVT
  CUR,MinimumCartValue:MCV,PromotionId:PID]
   [CartValueThreshold:CVT
  CUR,MinimumCartValue:MCV,PromotionName:PNAME]
  
   (PromotionId or PromotionName are optional parameters).
  
   Some examples:
  
   Add [CartValueThreshold:200
  USD,MinimumCartValue:0,PromotionId:10004321] more to your cart
  to qualify for $10 off your order.
  
   You are [CartValueThreshold:100
  USD,MinimumCartValue:10,PromotionName:April Order Discount] away
  from a 15% discount on your entire order.
