Error description

• Tax category information from the TAXCGRY database table is
  cached in memory, in the Store registry. When a large number of
  tax categories are defined for a Store, the memory footprint can
   grow large and may affect the ability of the JVM to efficiently
   manage it's memory.

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
   WebSphere Commerce v7.0 users who have a large number of tax
  categories defined for a store
  
   PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
   Store registry memory footprint is larger than necessary.
  
  
   BUSINESS IMPACT:
   When a large number of tax categories are defined for a Store,
  the memory footprint can become large.  In a 32 bit WebSphere
  Application Server, there is a limit to the maximum amount of
  memory that can be used, in which case having a large memory
  footpri
  

Problem conclusion

• A limited set of information relating to the tax category which
  was stored in the registry was required.  In addition, the
  required information is also cached in the Calculation registry,
   which already uses a smaller memory footprint to store this
  similar data.
  
   This fix disables the caching of tax category information in
  the Store registry.
  
   For backward compatibility, to obtain the previous behaviour,
  the following tag can be specified in the InstanceProperties tag
  in the wc-server.xml instance configuration file:
        <com.ibm.commerce.registry.StoreRegistry
  cacheTaxCategory="true" />
   The application server must be restarted for the setting to
  take effect.
